Anthropic expanded Claude Cowork to mobile and web platforms this week. Users can now delegate multi-step workflows to persistent AI agents that continue executing after the laptop is closed, with status updates pushed to mobile. Usage data released alongside the launch shows the majority of Claude Cowork users are not developers — they are general knowledge workers.

First, frontier AI models can now execute autonomous cyberattacks completing full system compromise in 27 seconds — faster than existing human detection and response workflows (Confirmed). Second, an AI agent executed the technical components of a real-world ransomware attack autonomously for the first time, though human operators still controlled victim selection, infrastructure setup, and credential supply (Confirmed).
The US Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency has deployed Anthropic's Mythos to audit government code repositories for vulnerabilities, directly automating portions of security engineer and vulnerability analyst workflows.
